The Norwegian Hydrographic Service has signed a bilateral arrangement with the Georgian State Hydrographic Service.
As a result of signing of this arrangement the Georgian ENCs will be available through the PRIMAR ENC service.
The Georgian ENCs will comprise of two cells organized in Coastal and Harbour usage band scales.
"The Black Sea is an important area for the maritime industry and the introduction of the Georgian ENCs will significantly increase the coverage available in this region. This closes a gap in the Black Sea and is another major step towards achieving global ENC coverage", says Kjell Olsen, the director of PRIMAR.
Revaz Babilua, director of the Georgian State Hydrographic Service, says: "This is a major step also for the Georgian State Hydrographic Service. We are very pleased to contribute with our ENCs to improve the safety for the mariners in this area, and look forward to a fruitful cooperation with PRIMAR in the future"
