We are pleased to announce the addition of Swedish S-101 and Finnish S-101 and S-102 data in the PRIMAR Product Catalogue.
Finnish data available in the PRIMAR S-57 Non-SOLAS Service
Finnish data is now available in the PRIMAR S-57 Non-SOLAS Service, making unencrypted Finnish S-57 data directly accessible via the PRIMAR Portal.
This service provides Derived Product Producers (DPPs) with reliable, 24/7 access to continuously updated data to support the development of non-SOLAS products.
The service now covers; Finland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Vietnam.

In early September 2026, Svein Skjæveland and Kevin Black attended the IALA/IHO S-100 Joint Working Group meeting in Istanbul, Türkiye. The sessions focused on the IALA implementation of the S-100 framework and identified opportunities for the PRIMAR RENC to support its ongoing development
World Wide Navigation Warning Service Sub Group
In mid-September 2026, representing PRIMAR, Kevin Black attended the World Wide Navigation Warning Service Sub Group meeting to address RENC involvement in the production and distribution of S-124 (Navigational Warning) datasets.
The group agreed that RENCs should continue evaluating the viability of S-124 distribution through their services. PRIMAR's support for S-124 production and validation was positively received, affirming that RENCs can meaningfully assist in the standard's development and implementation.
Worldwide Met-Ocean Information & Warning Service
In late September 2026, Kevin Black participated remotely in the Worldwide Met-Ocean Information and Warning Service meeting, part of the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Discussions focused on S-41x dataset creation and distribution, helping PRIMAR better understand operational challenges and identify key areas where the RENC can offer support
Nautical Information Provision Working Group, Australia
Svein Skjæveland represented PRIMAR at the 13th Nautical Information Provision Working Group (NIPWG13) meeting in Wollongong, Australia, focusing on advancing the Nautical Publication product suite within the S-100 framework.
As PRIMAR prepares to integrate these specifications into its future dissemination pipeline, a major outcome of the meeting was the recognition that most of these product specifications have officially reached operational maturity. This milestone enables active dataset production and rigorous testing toward standardized global digital publication delivery.
S-100 Working Group Meeting
Svein Skjæveland attended the 11th S-100 Working Group meeting (S-100WG11) in Wellington, New Zealand, engaging with international stakeholders on global S-100 standards. PRIMAR contributed several papers on practical implementation challenges, including a proposal addressing the Data Protection Scheme and highlighting the necessity of defining a clear Certificate rollover profile to ensure robust security
Baltic Sea E-Nav
Mikus Ranka and Jacek Jagodzinski represented PRIMAR at the 7th and final Baltic Sea E-Nav Partner Meeting in Rostock. Subsequent sea trials were also held aboard the research vessel Deneb, during which the team successfully tested FURUNO, OSI, and SEAiq S-100 prototypes, all of which performed seamlessly.
At the Final Advisory Board Conference on 1st October, final financial decisions were discussed, and the results were presented to the Interreg representative, with Mikus delivering PRIMAR's presentation to the board. The live demonstration of PRIMAR's tools and the OSI ECDIS won strong praise from the Interreg representatives and attending stakeholders.

New PRIMAR Staff Member!
PRIMAR are pleased to welcome a new member to the PRIMAR team – Mr. Mads Kjær Grøsfjeld.
Mads started in the position as the PRIMAR Commercial Manager on August 10th.
As the Commercial Manager, Mads will primarily be working towards and supporting our expanding network of PRIMAR commercial and governmental ENC and S-100 distributors.
